USA: Is it still No.1 study destination?
Here’s a question to all you overseas education aspirants. Which country is the most popular destination of choice of international students?
Australia? Canada? UK?
No, the answer is the United States of America.
Yes, despite Trump and his tweets and immigration policy, USA still attracts more international students than any other country in the world. In fact, according to Institute of International Education, more than 1 million students chose to study in the US in 2018. In second place was UK with nearly half a million students. Other destinations like Australia and Canada were in top 5.
So why do international students still want to go to the US?

Moreover, after finishing their studies, international students have the option to apply for extension of up to 3 years (science and engineering graduates: 3 years, others: 1 year) through optional practical training (OPT) scheme.
